Call for Papers

Prospective authors are invited to submit original technical papers and posters for publication in the IEEE SeGAH 2016 Conference Proceedings and for presentation in the symposia. Important IEEE Policy Announcement: The IEEE reserves the right to exclude a paper from distribution after the conference (including its removal from IEEE Xplore®) if the paper is not presented at the conference.

Papers are reviewed on the basis that they do not contain plagiarized material and have not been submitted to any other conference at the same time (double submission). These matters are taken very seriously and the IEEE Computer Society will take action against any author who engages in either practice.

PLEASE NOTE: To be published in the IEEE SeGAH 2016 Conference Proceedings and to be eligible for publication in IEEE Xplore, an author of an accepted paper is required to register for the conference at the FULL or LIMITED (member or non-member) rate and the paper must be presented by an author of that paper at the conference unless the TPC Chairs grant permission for a substitute presenter in advance of the event and who is qualified both to present and answer questions. Non-refundable registration fees must be paid prior to uploading the final IEEE formatted, publication-ready version of the paper. For authors with multiple accepted papers, one FULL or LIMITED registration is valid for up to 3 papers. Accepted and presented papers will be published in the IEEE SeGAH 2016 Conference Proceedings and submitted to IEEE Xplore®.

Tutorials

The role of the tutorials is to provide a platform for a more intensive scientific exchange amongst researchers interested in a particular topic and as a meeting point for the community. Tutorials complement the depth-oriented technical sessions by providing participants with broad overviews of emerging fields. A tutorial can be scheduled for 2 hours. If you wish to propose a new Tutorial, please kindly send to the secretariat (segah2016@ipca.pt) an expression of interest in order to obtain further information about how to submit a formal proposal. We will be happy to send you appropriate guidelines.

Workshops

Workshops present an excellent opportunity to address a specific topic in Serious Games, and provide a unique forum for researchers to present and discuss their R&D results and experiences. Workshops can be scheduled for half-day. If you wish to propose a new Workshop, please kindly send to the secretariat (segah2016@ipca.pt) an expression of interest in order to obtain further information about how to submit a formal proposal. We will be happy to send you appropriate guidelines.

Demos

Demo sessions aim to create an environment where participants are encouraged to interactively demonstrate developed tools, systems and products in the field of Serious Games. Academics, as well as exhibitors from industrial partners, are welcome. Demos can be scheduled for half-day, and the organizers are expected to manage the all the event. If you wish to propose a new Demo, please kindly send to the secretariat (segah2016@ipca.pt) an expression of interest in order to obtain further information about how to submit a formal proposal. We will be happy to send you appropriate guidelines.
